Colorado Pilot and Reno air race champion, Gary Miller, knew just who he would ask to create the official signature nose art for his T-6 Texan racer since 2004 after seeing the five-time, first place ICAS awarded event art Jones developed for Nellis AFB and Aviation Nation commemorating the 60th anniversary of D-Day. Featured in the piece was a fictitious B-17 pin-up girl developed from an original pencil sketch and christened "Lady Las Vegas."
Airmail Greetings quickly stepped up to the plate for Gary to both take on the full-blown nose art and branding project, and become a proud sponsor for the race team. After weeks of planning and a three hour shoot with Jones' pin-up model, the lovely Becky Miller, the artwork has now been completed and will be unveiled for the first time at the Reno Air Races, September 10-14 2008.
Be sure to stop by the Airmail Greetings booth in the Rolls-Royce pavilion at the September 08 Reno Air Races and meet "Mystical Power" pin-up girl, Becky Miller, and have her personally autograph our new Airmail Greetings exclusive air race team collector's card throughout the five day event.
In the spirit and meaning of the classic pin-up nose art branded on every aircraft entrusted to keep safe our airmen of the not so distant past we make every effort to create a piece worthy of the distinction and aviation heritage. We take the greatest pride in developing this signature art for Gary, crafted to endure the test of time and with great hope it will soon become an icon in the air show industry for years to come.
We wish pilot, Gary Miller and the whole "Mystical Power" team nothing but the best this race season!
